PROPER SKIN CARE REGIME

MAKEUP:
Always remove your makeup as carefully as you applied it.  Soak cotton pad with eye make up remover and press on eyelid. Hold for a few seconds to allow the pad to loosen and absorb makeup.  Repeat as necessary.

CLEANSER/FACIAL WASH:
For the face, apply cleanser in circular motion to loosen makeup, dirt and bacteria. Rinse, and pat dry. Use day and night.

TONER:
Can be applied with cotton pad, soft towel or as a mist.  Do not rub on. Allow to dry

DAY CREAM:
If you are using sunscreen, apply to cleansed skin and allow lotion to absorb (approx 20 minutes)  Scoop a small amount of Day Cream with a spatula and wipe on back of hand.

(never dip your fingers into your jar as bacteria and dirt may reduce the lifespan of your cream)  Apply cream from the back of your hand to your face in an upward motion (you do not want to pull down on your skin)  

*Note: more is not better- your skin will absorb what it needs and the rest is waste so do not over apply product.  Use daily

NIGHT CREAM:
Slightly heavier, apply onto cleansed face prior to bedtime. Avoid contact with eyes
(apply as directed with day cream)

EYE SERUM/GEL:
Use small amount and pat around eye area with finger tips.  Do not rub. Use nightly

MINERAL MUD MASK:
Apply on cleansed face 1-2 times per week to remove impurities from the skin. May use fingers or brush, apply thin layer avoiding eyes. Let dry 10-15 minutes.  To remove, wet finger tips with warm water, and using circular motion loosen the mask. Do not rub as this may cause irritation. Pat skin dry.    It is not recommended to apply makeup after a mask to avoid clogging pores.

SPF - Sun Protection Factor

It is a well known fact that sunburns are not good for the skin.  Some of the risks and results down the road are sagging skin, dryness, wrinkles and more

SPF in a Moisturizer:
There is evidence that the daily use of sunscreens can be dangerous to your health, and speculation that the daily use of a moisturizer with SPF can lead to cancer - however this has not been proven.

There are two types of sunscreens: One that is absorbed into the skin (the most common as it looks and feels better) and the second type that remain on the surface of the skin such as zinc and titanium sun blocks.

Blocking your face from the sun daily  also contributes to Vitamin D deficiency.
